How did the idea for Artcode come about?
Our idea with Artcode was to create a streamlined system for artists (or anyone really) to create their own website easily and cheaply, without having to be part of some kind of social-networking-type group harboring aspirations of becoming the next million-dollar startup. We also wanted to offer the benefits of a template-based website design system (affordability, simplicity and ease-of-use) but with increased flexibility for customization.
